Even when he pretends to throw it, she knows if it does not leave his hand.

So agile, so friendly, so smart; so in need of a home...

Belgian Malinois?

This young, beautiful, intelligent, dog was found wondering in Allegany County. We believe she is a Belgian Malinois because of all I just listed above. She is agile and graceful.

Belgian Malinois dogs are one of four types of Belgian shepherding dogs.

According to AKC (see: www.akc.org/breeds/belgian_malinois/index.cfm ) Malinois' are intelligent, trainable, have a strong desire to work and are happiest when there is regular activity and they have a job to do. These confident dogs love their family and are naturally protective without being overly aggressive. While she has no papers, she seems to fit what AKC says about the breed.

I believ they are also use as police and service dogs. She would be great to train for agility - so smart and can she jump!

Amish hound needs a home

This beautiful male "Amish Hound" is in urgent need of a home. His Amish owers are looking for a home for him. He has been an outside dog. While he needs to be neutered, he does not show any dog agressive behavior. A clear affinity for women is also evident.

The goats are coming! The goats are coming! "People at the fence, must mean food. Come on everyone!"

This tiny little goat was just too adorable to pass by! My sister-in-law pulled the car over and asked one of the owners if we could take pictures. He was most gracious in allowing us to even enter the fence. This one was my sister-in-law's favorite! :D

The fashion forward donkey was my favorite! Donkeys were always near me when I was taking the photos. In fact, at one point I nearly tripped over one that has snuck up behind me!

There was also a pregnant donkey that kept getting in front of me. At one point, I simply used her as a table meeting both our needs. She needed to cuddle and I needed to take pitures. She is a beautiful donkey and should give birth any day now!

This is the expecting mom!

This adorable young dog is in desperate need of a home. Found wandering in Allegany County, NY, this dog needs a good home.

He has a sweet personality that is sure to only be enhanced by being "fixed". He seems easy to work with and has lots of energy.

No hint of dog agressive behavior.

Bee on Flower at Lake

On of Guy's favorite place to be is also one of my favorite places to take pictures.

Trying to catch this bee when he actually stops is fun. He flits around just daring me to catch him! He would land for a moment, just as I would get my camera focused off it would fly again.

But I managed to catch him. Not the shot I was hoping for, but I think it turned out ok.

Fishy Focus

Intent on the task at hand, Guy strives for the best fish of the year. Reminiscing about the Carp that he pulled out and ended up with a pocket full of roe, he intently watches his bait.

Then, the yell of success. Perhaps not the Goliath Carp from days of old, but a fine looking Crappie none the less.

It always makes me so proud to see him happy and successful. Fishing is something that he has always enjoyed.

The "Fish Whisperer" can find fish were it doesn't even appear to be water. We have traveled many a back road because he can feel the presence of fish. With no creek in sight, I follow his turning instructions. Then, he says, "Turn here!" Seriously? He wants me to turn into a tractor path in a corn field. We follow it a bit, and sure enough there is a creek. We walk out and look, fish! He has yet to be wrong!

I love my Fish Whisperer!

The name of my blog is "Unique Perspective", the reason behind it is simple. I like to view things just slightly off center; sometimes slightly unbalanced! :D

I seek out the normal and look at it differently, or try to find that unique angel.

The Shop

I'm sure you've heard it said that those little, out of the way, places are often the best to eat. Well, this is no exception! This tiny little "shop" is not something you will find in the Yellow Pages. But, talk to most anyone around Delevan, NY and they will tell you it is the place to go.

We have this lovely little addiction to traveling the back roads for adventure. Often seeking out the hidden fishing places brings us to the most intersting of places. Once, when looking for a house that was for sale in the middle of no where we saw this place. We often talked of going back, but never did, until this day.

We had prime rib, shrimp - scampi style -, and ribs. As we sat under the canopy at a picnic table, they brought us a large wooden bowl containing macorni salad, cloe slaw, rolls and butter, and napkins. Then our main course arrived. Prime rib was beautifully cooked, and the ribs fell off the bone. This was some of the best food we have had all summer.

If you are out and about and see this place - be sure to stop, and be sure to bring your appite!

Gooseneck Hill Waterfowl Sanctuary

How often can you say that you got to feed an exocit fowl by hand? This bird is just one of many at Gooseneck Hill Waterfowl Sanctuary in Delvan NY. This is close to us!

For a small "donation" you get to enter the enclosed fence area. This fence includes a net over the enitre area! This family does a great job keeping these birds safe. Once you enter the fence you are given the opportunity to hand feed these awesome creations. What do you feed a duck or goose? Lettuce!

They also have two "adult" geese that kept coming over to visit. They were so beautiful. I have many more pictures I will post later.
